Patcham & Hollingbury is a very close-knit community, and Alistair has enjoyed working with lots of diferent community groups. He has worked with his colleagues on a number of successful campaigns and wants to help keep the character and community of Patcham & Hollingbury as we know and love it for future generations.
Conservative Party Candidate
Anne Meadows
I am a Brightonian and have lived locally in and around Brighton my whole life. I have lived in Patcham for the last 25 years even attending Margaret Hardy School as it was then, now Patcham High. My two children attended all local schools in Patcham too.
I work in the NHS at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in the Corporate Governance department. I have been a Brighton & Hove councillor for Patcham & Hollingbury since May 2021. I am on the organising committee of the Patcham Duck Fayre and attend many of the local meetings to hear more of our residents’ views as that is so important to me and to my colleagues Alistair McNair and Carol Theobald. I have loved representing Patcham & Hollingbury for the last two years and feel very privileged to know and to be able to help so many residents in that time.
I am passionate about ensuring Patcham & Hollingbury have the best representation possible as its where we live, possibly work and play!

Liz is a regular ParkRunner and volunteer providing better mental health through fitness. She is also a keen horse rider.
Green Party Candidate
Norma Fletcher
Norma Fletcher was among the many children who were adopted in Scotland in the 1950s and 60s. As someone who experienced separation trauma first-hand, she welcomes the recent apology from Nicola Sturgeon on behalf of the state. Norma hopes to bring more empathy and understanding to politics, which is why she's running for the Green Party in local elections.
With a background in the arts, Norma has curated projects with young people and trained as a sculptor. She has also worked in studio administration for Juno Reactor, a film and music project. Due to Covid, Norma trained as a sound therapist and yoga teacher, and she's passionate about developing a strategy for wellbeing in the community, schools, care homes, and day centres of Brighton and Hove.

Brighton & Hove Independents
Paul Denyer
Unlike many of the other candidates standing in Patcham and Hollingbury ward, Paul lives here. On Carden Hill to be precise. He was born and raised in Brighton and went to school at Hertford Road Primary and Dorothy Stringer.
Paul has owned a business in the city for years which he is in the process of selling. This will allow Paul to dedicate his time to serving the people of Patcham and Hollingbury.
Paul said "As a well-known local business owner, and life-long Brightonian, I feel wholeheartedly that the incumbent administration and their predecessors have consistently let the people of Our City down. Like so many others, I've become disheartened by the decline of Brighton & Hove's infrastructure, and I am truly passionate about working to improve services and restore Brighton and Hove's unique heritage for the people who live here. It is imperative that national politics is separated from our local politics. Our City desperately needs change and I have the skills, expertise, time and energy to help”.
